Soulmates: reality or utopia?

January 15, 2010 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

Sometimes it seems to be that we are some kind of main protagonist in a typical Hollywood movie: different love stories, drama, tragedy, you´re happy and sad at the same time, and you can´t stopp searching for the right answer in your life. And then they´re also talking about this big, terrific and frightening feeling: the soulmates. But do they really exist or do we just invent something pretending to have found the right thing in life?

soulmates

The contact to other people and the searching for the CORRECT person seem to be the most important lifelong tasks of everyone. We meet persons where we feel in the first moment a kind of hate, little or normal sympathy or this kind of person where you only can say “wow” and you feel deeply connected to that someone. The most curious thing is that you can´t even explain this feeling and certainly not if you know this person for only some minutes. This strong connection to someone can be considered more than to win the lotterly. To be understood without many words, to let yourself flow without being afraid of being rejected, or just to enjoy together the silence where you can read the others mind just looking at her or his face. Just to be as you are, this sounds too good to be real, right?

You really can break your head thinking about this feeling. And what about you? Have you already found a kind of soulmate? In this context It’s also very interesting to reflect about the relation to destiny or coincidences. Is it predicted in life to find your soulmate or is it pure coincidence to have met the right person? Or is it our instinct leading us to this special person? Millions of questions to which everyone has his or her special and personal opinion and experience.

And when you really have found your soulmate, does this automatically mean that you can have the perfect love partnership with that person? This is as well a very delicate topic. Depending on each situation and characters, those relationships will go very well or not. The strange thing is that this feeling of being deeply connected can change with being partners because we suddenly behave in a different way. God knows why! We human beings can be so stupid sometimes, because changing the behaviour just because of being together is big nonsense. Why don´t we just enjoy the moments and stop thinking about million of things? Women are mainly known to be the best in racking their brains over the never-ending fears.

The most important thing in life is very simple: you always should be loyal to yourself and keep your eyes open. With this positive attitude you will go with a big smile through the complicated life. To spend some holidays in a nice place, is surely the best way of enjoying life. What about some days in the breathtaking eternal city? Rent the best apartments in Rome and spend a comfortable and economic stay in the “open-air musem”.

Myths of the Moon

January 13, 2010 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

It is said that Diana or Selene, (the goddess of the moon) strongly influences the menstrual cycle, the tides, markets, fisheries, agriculture, moods and many other things. Since ancient times an analogy has been established between the lunar cycle and several events of everyday life. Do astral energies have something to do with human and animal nature?

moon-cycles

In the world everything works under the forces of revolution: everything moves at a fixed rate. One of the most famous stories is the one related to the phases of the menstrual cycle, corresponding to a phase of the lunar cycle, in perfect agreement with the average of 28 days (28 days x 13 = 364 days = 1 year approximately).

We can symbolize each phase of the moon with a mood or certain capacities of a woman. And instead of drawing a heart or a star to remember when you have your period, why not draw a small moon!

  • The first moon is the new one, the stage of birth when there is no rule or the beginning. It is the awakening of adolescence whose wisdom is growing like a flower.
  • The crescent moon is when the woman ovulates, the phase of the mother with the power of creation. It provides protection to others, and it is the maternal love that fills the heart.
  • The third is the full moon, the sorceress stage when the ovule is released and the woman becomes beautiful and has a strong sexual power. She knows how to seduce and how to call attention.
  • The last one, the waning moon, is represented by the witch and a certain ugliness because it’s when the woman has the period, and she wants to hide behind a mask.

Is this coincidence or influence? The moon is a mystery to everyone. It also establishes a relationship with the tidal cycle, the crime rate, fertilization periods, feeding and moulting of certain animals.

But the myths about the moon arouse much controversy: it is said that man never stepped foot on the moon. We say “Monday” because we associated the first day of the week with the moon or moon day.

The moon has inspired countless songs, poems, paintings and legends. Its symbolism often evokes fertility, peace, tranquillity, as the sea and its opposite, the Sun, the male star.

If you want to continue dreaming, we’d like to propose a trip to another magic place: Rome. Rent Rome Apartments for an unforgettable stay. Any reason is good to go to Rome. Enjoy it!

The Apocryphal Gospels

December 30, 2009 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

The apocryphal gospels are gospels written in the early centuries of Christianity (including canonical, but these were not subsequently accepted by The  Catholic Orthodox Church). St. Irenaeus of Lyons proposed it in the late Second century and they have remained like that since then. The Catholic Church recognizes only the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John

the-apocryphal-gospels

The content, so much of the apocryphal gospels, as that of the canonical ones, is based on what the apostles heard, saw and said while they were walking with Jesus preaching their doctrines and then in the resurrection of the Son of God.

A very important aspect of the Apocryphal Gospels is the Gnostic Gospels. These gospels caused major problems for the Catholic religion, since they say we should find God within us. The Gnostics believed that all humans have a divine spark within us. It is said that through the meditation, prayer and knowledge just a few of us can develop this divine spark and become enlightened or prophets.

This search of God within us ignores completely that the church is God’s house. It also ignores the priests as God’s messengers. To the Gnostics only those who reached the state of enlightenment were genuine prophets. And of course they did not believe in the forgiveness of the priests. Forgiveness must come from repentance through a confession of our sins to ourselves: only this way we are conscious that we sin.

Within the Gnostic Gospels we also count on the gospels of Jesus Christ’s infancy and of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. Then we also have the Gospels of the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, also banned by the Catholic Church. And finally, we have many other gospels difficult to classify as the gospels of St. Peter, St. Mark, and even St. Judas.

If you want to visit the city of Christianity and learn more about the Gospels, you can not miss a visit to Rome. Rent Rome Apartments and enjoy your search for the Divine Truth.

Being gay without being gay

December 15, 2009 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

People say that being gay is fashionable. But is it possible that ones sexual orientation may just be a fad? It seems that the sexual openness and tolerance is increasing in our society. In most developed countries being gay is no longer a major problem. Many people, especially the young ones, come out of the closet without complexes or subterfuge. But what about the people who practice homosexual sex and declare themselves as straight? On the one hand, bisexuality is a trend that has increasingly gained new adherents. The sexual desire and the fact of fulfilling ones own sexual fantasies means that gay sex practices have become more frequent among non homosexuals.

Orgies, threesomes, swinging: anything is possible! Straight people are tired of boring sexual practices. Today, many women report having practiced homosexual sex or feeling attracted to other women, without being lesbians. It is not the same with the men, who don’t want to recognize that they would practice these kinds of sexual games if they had the opportunity.

The swingers clubs are an ideal place for having sex with persons of your same sex without feeling the social pressures. Here anything is permitted; including watching how your partner enjoys having sex with another man or woman while you stimulate yourself alone or with another person, regardless if he or she is male or female.

We all can give and receive equal pleasure from both genders. Because, if you think about it, who will better understand the benefits of our body than a person of our own sex? Many people, after having practiced gay sex for the first time are so pleasantly surprised that they want to repeat the experience. This is not incompatible with a straight life or with a straight couple. Just open your mind a bit and be led by your carnal instincts. If your partner is as tolerant as you, he or she will explore new worlds.

What about the orgies or the threesomes? It’s an exchange of pleasure where everyone gives and receives. Forget your complexes and your prejudices! Unleash your sexual appetite in the Italian capital of Rome. Rent apartments in Rome and give free rein to your imagination. There is a world of possibilities open to you!

Tights Are Back in Fashion Girls

December 07, 2009 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

Whether you wear them, you look at them or you want to take them off seductively, any reason is good to wear tights! Tights can be sophisticated, glamorous, with graphics, stripes or electric blue. This winter, let tights metamorphose your legs. They are also ideal for protection from the cold and show off all your femininity. Your partner will love your new purchase! Hide to show, you know how to do it girls!

Today you can see all kinds of tights, of all colours and patterns that girls and women of all ages wear, with or without heels, with a skirt or a dress, or under the trousers when it’s very cold. But it was not always like that. The origin of tights goes back to medieval Roman time, when it was a male garment. The “calceus” served to protect the soldiers in combat against the cold.

tights-and-stockings

The story takes a twist when, in 1938, the U.S. company DuPont announced the creation of a revolutionary synthetic yarn: nylon. The intense publicity campaign launched by nylon tights made hundreds of women queue up outside the U.S. warehouse to buy some. In 1945, the tights produced in North America began to export to Europe and its use expanded around the whole world.

First there was silk and then nylon but nowadays tights have been reinvented for the pleasure of your legs. To prefer simplicity is always better, remember, “less is more”. If you’ve never worn red tights, lace tights, now is the time! There are of many colours, thicknesses and designs, but each pair has to be used for a special occasion. Take the sexiest one for a first date or a special surprise, the tattoo tights for simulating an urban original style, and the most colourful for a night at a bar.

If your legs deserve the best, you can also try wearing erotic tights To alleviate the crisis, why not return to the punk style with laddered or ripped tights, but do it right and discreet so you do not look like you’re going to the carnival or to a sadomasochistic party. Bending down or crossing your legs with style will be your favourite pastime this winter.

To find the most glamorous tights, there is nothing better than going to one of the capitals of European fashion: Rome. Invite your partner and book Apartments in Rome, an ideal place to show your new tights off to the eternal city!

Do you have any reason to be angry?

November 30, 2009 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

“I’m not angry!” shouts someone in the distance. Their face turns to a reddish hue, their brows are knit, everything seems black and they find it impossible to sit still. According to some demonology studies, anger actually represents the possession of a body by the demon, Amon - a Marquis of Hell. But today, neuroscientists think they have found the source of anger in a brain region called the amygdale. Is it chemistry or is it the devil? “Anger is a short madness,” said Horace.

getting-angry

Who has never fallen into this irrational sin? Be aware of your emotions because like the other deadly sins, anger is a fatal capital sin and has a conviction: going to the fourth circle of hell in The Divine Comedy by the Italian writer Dante Alighieri. There you’ll see your limbs torn and broken for all eternity…That’s where anger is vented. This is an “inordinate appetite for revenge,” according to Christianity.

Of the 7 deadly sins, anger is the worst because it triggers all the other vices (lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, envy, pride). It is related to the failures, frustrations and conflicts of each person and it can lead to murder, crimes of passion and physical violence, etc. Therefore, anger is the sin that kills.

Anger is a non-controlled feeling of hatred and anger. It is the only sin that is not necessarily related to egoism and self-interest (although one can have anger about selfishness, or jealousy). Psychology has much work to do about it, because the energy control is not easy. The best thing is to use this pain to strengthen our character, preferring the patience and the reflection.

The Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius was right when he said that “the consequences of anger are always far worse than the causes that provoke it”. Neurologists say that anger comes from a brain region called the amygdale, which belongs to a primitive brain area that registers threats and the perception of danger.

Do you have any reason to explode into a bout of anger? Are you sure? Relax; we have a proposal that will calm you: a stay in the Italian capital will leave you in wonder. Rent Apartments in Rome to find the best accommodation. They are so comfortable and cheap that you will have no reason to get angry.

Italian Stereotypes - Do they exist?

November 24, 2009 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

We’ve all seen the movies La Dolce Vita and The Godfather, the favourite food of most kids is pizza and a lot of people choose Italy as their holiday destination. And we all have an image in our mind of what a typical Italian looks like. But are all these Italian stereotypes true? Where there’s smoke there’s fire, right? Let’s talk about some of the most common ideas foreigners have about Italians.

mafia

They eat pasta every day. True, Italians love pasta and lasagne. Pasta is a generic term; since there is more then 600 varieties, from farfalle and rigatoni to penne. An average Italian is said to eat about 28 kg of pasta per year, and they prefer to eat their pasta ‘Al dente’, which foreigners often find raw. Compare it with rice or potatoes. Instead eating potatoes with meat, fish or vegetables everyday, Italians eat pasta.

Italian men are great lovers. This is partly true. A poll in which more then 15,000 women from all over the world participated ranks Italians as the third best lovers in the world. They are passionate, give you all the attention you want, and know how to flirt. Does that make them womanizers? They sure as hell used to be, ask any woman in her forties and chances are pretty high she once had her heart broken by an Italian summer lover. But today it seems like these machos or players are on the verge of extinction. 7 out of 10 Italian men admitted being too insecure to flirt with girls on the beach.

All Italians dress very well. False, it is a mistake that all Italian girls seem to come straight off the cover of Vogue and not all Italian men wear Armani suits. They don’t like to stand out and everyone does dress more or less the same, but that doesn’t necessarily mean designer clothes. But what about the typical ‘Guido’, with his tight white t-shirts, necklace, spray on tan and massive amounts of hair gel? Although Italian men are very concerned with fashion, these type of tacky wannabe Italians you’ll only find in the United States.

Italian men are momma’s boys. True. 1 out of 3 Italian men sees his mother everyday, and 7 out of 10 single men above 35 still live with their parents. Most of them don’t leave home until they are married. Italian mothers are very protective and love to be in control of their son’s lives because only the very best is good enough for their boys. Sadly, 1 out of 3 divorced women pointed to their mother in law as the main cause for their divorce. But on the other hand, if you stand up to the Italian mama, set your boundaries and convince her that you’ll take care of her son very well, she’ll welcome you into the family with open arms and do anything for you.

No, not all Italians belong to the mafia. Yes, they often say ‘Mamma Mia’ and not everyone drives a Lamborghini. When in Rome, do as the Romans do… Spend a wonderful holiday in Rome, and find out for yourself if these stereotypes are true or not! And why not rent you own apartment in Rome and throw yourself completely into the Italian way of life!

November 16, 2009 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

There are a lot of important facts which leads to an incredibly good orgasm. It’s like a team sport where each member contributes for reaching the victory. In this metaphorical sense, the G-spot would be like the team captain. Important keywords are the clitoral and the vaginal orgasm. Each woman has her personal preferences, but from the scientific point of view they don’t need to have a G-spot for reaching a climax. Besides, there isn’t any anatomical proof of the existence of the G-spot, rather than a special kind of accumulation of nerves in the vaginal zone. Nevertheless, scientific research doesn’t give up in the search of the G-spot. A lot of scientists talk about a kind of mystery. The G-spot is a bit like UFO’S – there are some claiming to have seen them, others don’t, or some people believing and others declining its existence.

This erogenous zone, which by the way is called Gräfenberg Spot, isn’t a new thing. It’s quite the opposite. The G-spot has a long history and has already appeared in different sexual literature throughout the centuries. Whether in The Kama Sutra (IV. century), in essays of the Dutch anatomist Regnier de Graaf (XVII. century) or in investigations of the famous gynecologist Ernst Gräfenberg (1881-1957), there has always been a kind of rumor about a mysterious area in the vaginal zone.

In the end, nobody should despair in searching for the G-spot, because we all know that a women has numerous erogenous zones: starting with the earlobes, the neck, the nipples or the feet. The female body is just an exciting voyage of discovery.

Rome With Children

November 04, 2009 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

Italy, the land of ice-cream, pizza and spaghetti! Rome, where gladiators fought with lions! Who said this was not a child friendly city? Italians love bambini, and after this trip your children will consider Rome their best holiday ever.

Rome With Children

The first obvious stop is the Colosseum. At the entrance is usually a gladiator, kids will love to take photo him. The ruins are perfectly preserved, which makes it easier for them to imagine. They will be fascinated by the tunnels below, where the animals and gladiators waited to enter the arena.

There are two small theme parks around Rome. Il Fantastico Mondo is at about 15km from the centre. Don’t expect big Disneyland-style attractions, but the little ones will like it. If you are travelling with teenagers better go to Aquapiper, a water park with a lot of slides (2 of them almost vertical).

On a rainy day, there are two great options. Explora is Italy’s first children’s museum and is divided in 4 parts: me, society, nature and communication. Everything is adapted to their height, and they are invited to touch and experiment with everything. There is even a mini village with a supermarket, a gas station and a banc where the kids are in charge! The newest attraction in Rome is the Time Elevator, which is a 5D experience. You can choose from 3 different experiences: Rome, An ode to life or Escape from bane manor. A 3D movie, combined with multi-sensorial effects such as wind and water, a moving platform and an impressive surround system. Might be scary for the younger ones, but your teens will be impressed.

Of course, don’t miss out on all the culture Rome has to offer. If you tell them the right story, it can be fun for them too! Give them a coin to make a wish (Anything, whether it’s a Barbie doll or a pony)) at the Trevi fountain, and let them admire the artists and human statues at the Piazza Navona. They will feel like a knight in the Castel Sant’Angelo, and it offers amazing views. Ask you children to point out the things they recognize.

If you’re kids are brave and adventurous, take them to the crypt of the Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini. It contains the remains of 4000 friars and the walls are decorated with individual skulls and bones, a macabre work of art. They might be clung to your skirt, but once back home they will impress their friends with how fearless they were.

To comfort the nerves a bit, why not spend the rest of the day in the zoo? The Bioparco is one of the oldest zoos in Europe, and is at the same time a botanical garden with more then 1000 trees. There is a pick-nick area, a playground and a little train, the Bioparco Express. The zoo itself is located in the Vila Borghese Park, which is the second largest in Rome. You can rent a bicycle, feed the ducks, or hire a boat to cross the small lake or visit the puppet theatre. Ready to introduce your offspring to the Italian way of life? Don’t forget to buy them a gelato on hot afternoons! And for a good night’s sleep followed by a relaxing morning, rent your own apartments in Rome

Laughter therapy, the best remedy for good health

October 23, 2009 By: romeblogger Category: Rome

Unfortunately, our daily life is marked by stress. Every day we think about our work or about school or university and just about everything else that we have to do in the least possible time. It’s hardly surprising that with so much pressure we can hardly manage a smile or a laugh during the day. But countless scientific studies show us that the smiles and laughters have supernatural powers: they reactivate our organic functions and release tension from the body. Healing our bodies by attacks of laughter? What do you think about it?

cats-laughing

To laugh is good for the health: it relaxes the muscles, releases stalled emotions and also hapiness hormones. Children are the masters of this type of expression because they laugh 400 times a day, according to scientific studies. Adults, however, only laugh about 15 times per day. According to the experts, adults have to take the example from the children, because too much seriousness is no good for our health.

Over 400 different muscles are activated when we laugh. This strengthens various important body systems, such as the muscles, the heart, the nervous system, the digestive and the cerebral system. A smile creates two processes: stimulation and subsequent deep relaxation. This way, a laugh manipulates the body exercising the muscles of the torso, the arms, the shoulders, the abdomen, the legs, etc.. It also ventilates the lungs and heart. Therefore, a smile increases blood tension and breathing, supports the promotion of the entry and the exit of oxygen and, in addition, it improves circulation. Can you think of a better cure for your health problems?

There are endless ways of laughing. Whether it is sincere, sarcastic, a teasing or a shy laughter, a five-minute laughter equals 45 minutes of exercise. Because of it increasingly people prefer laughter therapy than going to the gym. This are seminars where participants learn how to laugh. Maybe it sounds a little ridiculous, but most people do not know how to laugh. In the early days of the therapy there is a certain shyness and shame among the participants, but within the minutes all the seminarians can’t stop laughing. After the first session people feel more relaxed than ever.

Do not be overwhelmed by daily stress, but concentrate on the essential details of your life. During holidays you can completely disconnect and let a few smiles escape I’m quite sure. Why not start your own laughter therapy in the charming Italian capital? The eternal city offers a host of beautiful places, spectacular entertainment and a very special atmosphere. Rent the best Apartments in Rome to enjoy affordable, comfortable and very relaxing accommodation.
